Sondra asked:
I have gone over to the local college in my town and gathered some info on going to classes for becoming a registered CNA but that wouldn’t be until next fall. The info they gave me as far as PCA goes is that i would have to go to a trade/tech school but i would feel better if i could do it from home.

It depends on where you live. In my county, there are three ways: (1) go to Community College for 1 semester and take a 9 unit class (2) Get a job at a nursing home that will train you and accredit you while you work (3) the County Employment Office will train you for free if you already have an in-home client that receives Social Security for whom you will be working for.
I have heard of on-line or by mail programs but I don’t trust them, personally.
